Art of Resilience made Yahoo News. WOOD TV 8 reporter Karina Prieto covered our ArtPrize 2026 exhibit at Veterans Memorial Park, and the story was picked up by Yahoo News. Read the full article on Yahoo News.
32 Pieces, All Created by Veterans
The exhibit features 32 art pieces created by veterans and military-connected groups, curated by Pamela Alderman. The article highlights two of them: Faces We Show by Marine Corps veteran Travis Snyder, a collaborative project through the Art of Resilience program, and the Towers of the Fallen Monument by Navy veteran Jordan White, honoring the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the veterans who served in the wars that followed.
Why It Matters
As Pamela told WOOD TV 8, “Art is a bridge to healing.” Veterans build confidence and friendships while sharing their stories through art.
Thank you to WOOD TV 8 and Yahoo News for sharing these veterans’ stories. Learn more about Art of Resilience or support the program.
