Our public art displays inspire hope and activate cultural change through collaboration.
Broken Wings sparks a butterfly effect, with small acts of kindness creating ripples of change. Through art, this project brings hope and harmony, turning pain into beauty. To help our children—those hurting, isolated, bullied, or struggling—we must build a safe, peaceful environment, where every word and action shapes their future.
The award-winning Hometown Hero by artist Pamela Alderman invites visitors to honor their heroes by writing their names on a 30-foot painting. This interactive tribute celebrates the bravery and sacrifice of service members and first responders. Through community participation, the artwork becomes a powerful collective memorial.
Yellow Ribbon was a participatory art project where visitors wrote messages on yellow ribbons, which were then sent as notes of encouragement to deployed soldiers. Artist Pamela Alderman led the initiative, using art to connect the public with those serving in the military. She also founded and curated the Voices Project, amplifying veterans’ stories through art and community engagement.
Color Me Kind invited visitors to tie an orange ribbon as a pledge to show kindness. Like fish swimming upstream, choosing kindness goes against the flow of culture. This interactive artwork encouraged a movement of compassion and positive change.
